Our 2 Weeks Magical Trip in USA

Here's the USA Map with the places we have visited on our 2-wk trip.  I call it magical trip because it was intended for my son to visit and see Disney Parks in Orlando and Anaheim.  We did achieve the purpose and more.

Day 1 - Arrival in LAX

We arrived in Los Angeles International Airport on the same date/day we left land down under ( the advantage of being ahead in time?). It's a conscious effort not to fall asleep during the day so we can adjust right away.  We rented a car and drove to Santa Monica Pier. Remember Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles? When Cromartie tries to track down John Connor on the Pier, who steals a pair of sunglasses and a cap from a Pier vendor to disguise himself, it was shot on this Pier.  Oh how about Grey's Anatomy episodes The Other Side of Life Pts?  The fourth season of Hannah Montana takes place in Santa Monica as well instead of the Malibu setting of previous seasons, and the pier is frequently shown as Lilly works at a game booth.

Here's some of our pictures..

I bet most people remember Forrest Gump movie which used the pier several times. There is a Bubba Gump Shrimp Company Restaurant on the pier, owned by the company that produced the film and we had our dinner there.  It was great food, highly recommended and we are craving to go back there.  We will surely look for one on our next visit.

Day 2 - Orlando, Florida.
We had an early flight to Orlando then checked-in Disney Resort (New Orleans - Riverside).  Visited Disney Downtown for dinner and drive to Walmart to buy some water and other "junk food" :).

Day 3 - Magic Kingdom
The day that i have preparing for :), i can't recall how many times i read blogs on what's the best way to spend a day in this park. Most people recommends at least 2 days. Well we chose to spend 1 day only to give us reason to come back :).

Here's our pics and i plan to write a separate blog on this.

Day 4 - Disney's Hollywood Studios
Since there's 3 more Disney Parks to choose for the next day. It was difficult to choose at first but it all boils down to my son's preferences  after all this trip is for him.  Out of the 3 Parks (Epcot, Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios), i think my son can relate more to Hollywood Studios.

They said that this is the carriage used in Cinderella movie and it was a long queue on a very hot sunny day so i ended up taking a side view picture :).

Day 5 - Seattle, Washington
Early morning flight again :) and arrived in Seattle at lunch time.  after we checked-in in the hotel, we went to the famous Pike Market. Have you watch Sleepless in Seattle and a 2009 Love Happen?  I call it a welcome luck that the first Starbucks store got a problem in their POS so we end up getting a free drinks. I usually don't order for my son since he can't finish 1 hot chocolate drink but this time i got him a Grande Signature Hot Chocolate.

Day 6 - Seattle, Washington
Had our breakfast in the hotel then lunch in Pike Market :). This time we took a lot of pictures. Our afternoon was spent in Children's Museum where my son stayed until closing time.  He had a great time there and even asked if we can go back there the next day.  We were on our way to go up the Space Needle when my son spotted the famous fountain where the kids play.  He stayed there for about 30 minutes and again asked if we he can go back there the next day :).

Yes, there's a filipino sari sari store and a carenderia in the musuem :). Our little one can't relate but he gladly oblige to pose and smile.

Can you imagine him driving a motorela?  Hmmm i can't but it's cute if he does hahaha.

Finally, our last stop for the day is Space Needle.

It was a clear day that we can see visibly even Mt Rainer.  Seatlle is home to Microsoft so one would expect that there's some Microsoft technology around.. we were right, in Space Needle there's a big touch screen which are divided for different purposes.

to be continued :)
